Collectively, Gen Z carries a heart for healing, for joy and peace, and for community - and this yearning is in a large part the result of a very painful, confusing, and shocking plot line you have all lived together. Gen Z, you were babies and toddlers during 9/11, you were the first middle schoolers to have to deal with social media and smartphones, and just when you'd finished high school and college and were ready to take on the world, the world shut its doors in your face during a global pandemic of fear and anger. If you learn even a little bit of brain science, as I have (thanks to Life Model Works and the help of Jim Wilder), you can see how the Gen Z story has affected the way Gen Z thinks, feels, acts, and reacts to life.

From widespread spiritual pain, to a deep ache to find your true identities, to the earnest desire to escape anxiety for the simplicity of peace, you are surprisingly unified in how you have experienced human life so far. Though you don't all share the same politics, religion, or worldview, I believe your shared reality in the first 30 years of life has set you up for a profound mission of restoration. You have incredible potential - both "you" as a young adult standing in your own God-given glory, and "you" as part of a very special group. We - the community of the world - need you, and you need us. Generation Life House is a space for us all to discover our prioritites and purposes in this next phase of human history together.
